The Rose of Tralee

The Rose of Tralee contest is the premier event for New Zealand's Irish community.

Contests have been held in New Zealand for many years now, and each year the New Zealand Rose attends the International contest in Tralee, Co Kerry, Ireland.

And 2015 is no different. There have been a series of selections by groups throughout New Zealand and over the weekend of 5-7 June a group of Roses gathered to compete for the title of 2015 PBT New Zealand Rose of Tralee.

The contest is about selecting young women who epitomise the heritage and values of the Irish community in New Zealand.

The winner of the 2015 New Zealand title is: MAGGIE FEA, representing the Otago Irish Society. You can meet Maggie, and catch up on the events of that weekend through our photo collection

Entry is open to all single young women aged between 18 and 27 who are are of Irish birth OR descent.

So if you're interested in entering, find the Regional Final nearest to you, or write to the New Zealand Rose Centre.
