We have a new Rose!
The 2011 New Zealand Rose of Tralee was selected on Saturday 4 June in Wellington.
The Rose of Tralee is a celebration - of Irishness, of womanhood - of New Zealand's young Irish women.
New Zealand's Rose of Tralee will represent New Zealand's Irish community at the International contest in Kerry in August.
And now she's off to Tralee
Ailbhe will be representing the entire New Zealand Irish community at the International Contest in Tralee.

Rose of Tralee contests have been held in New Zealand for many years now.

Regional selections are held in many centres during the first few months of each year. The Roses selected then go onto to view for the Crown and Title of New Zealand Rose of Tralee at a National Selection.
The National Rose wins an all-expenses paid trip to ireland the Festival of Kerry to represent the entire New Zealand Irish community.
