The 2009 New Zealand Rose of Tralee was selected on Saturday 13 June in Lower Hutt.

Many outstanding young women have been selected to represent New Zealand at the largest single celebration of Irish culture in Ireland.
Regional selections are held in many centres during the first few months of each year. The Roses selected then go onto to view for the Crown and Title of New Zealand Rose of Tralee at a National Selection.
