Other information

The annual Rose of Tralee International Festival attracts approximately 30 Roses. In 2009 there were, however, 50 to mark the 50th birthday of the contest.

The Festival is one of Ireland's biggest and longest running festivals and is increasingly an international experience.

Roses will travel from the UK, America, Australia, Canada, Luxembourg, Dubai and France, as well as New Zealand.

The Festival has three parades, allowing Festival-goers an opportunity to see and meet the Roses.

The five-days of Festival culminates in the Rose of Tralee Selection event on the last two days of Festival. Broadcast live by RTÉ from the Festival Dome and hosted by Dáithí O Sé. Friends and family fill the 2,000-seater Dome to capacity, and maintain the electric atmosphere with their specially made banners and cheers of support.
